It was better than expected. This was my first car I bought without a co signer and considering it was my first 'big girl' purchase I was very satisfied. Specifically when it came to my Car Dealer (Sales Guy) Bret Sandman... His name is cool enough, on top of that though - I was able to connect with him very well personally and when it came to my preferences on a car. I gave my thoughts to him straight and he returned his advice. We went on multiple test drives to ensure I was making the correct purchase and in the end by 10/30/2024... I definitely did with his help! Considering he had only been there about a month - he was very knowledgable on Volkswagon details when I had question (as it has always been my dream Mom car but I had never known a lot about them). I finally got that 'Dream Mom Car' of mine which was a 2024 brand new Volkswagon Tiguan with Deep Black Pearl exterior and Cinnamon interior... with. y moonroof of course... gorgeous. Also - HE was the main reason I decided to buy my car.

As for the Big Man (Assistant Manager) Jason Forte... He was stellar. Always available when I needed him regardless of his schedule and answered any question that Bret and I were both stumped on especially when it came to the financing part and choosing a car from there. I am sure he is a busy guy and I appreciate his help a ton. Side note: I am in sales and I did notice how he had fun with the team but when it became busy it really did come down to business which (as a manager of a way smaller team of reps myself) that is something that I appreciate about his leader style.

Then there is the Money Guy (Finance Manager) Brian Fluegge. It is safe to say that I am not a big finance girl especially if we involve my Corporate Finance grade so... he was an amazing guy to have in this process. He helped me fully understand everything as well as answered all my questions. He even upsold me on all of the extras like GAP insurance and lifetime oil, but I am really happy about my double extended warranty for 10 years/150k miles. He is a real dad too so that helped me feel comfortable trusting him!

Finally, there is the Dad/Mom (Sales Manager) Sejad Dubinovic. He was amazing. Besides helping with some numbers stuff and so forth, I didn't personally need his professional help a ton (not directly at least). He did help name my car "Roxanne/Roxy" though which he should be very proud of. His office name as the Office Dad and now Office Mom are there for a reason... Making sure everyone is feeling good and taken care of just like I am sure he does for his kiddos at home.

Lastly.... there were a number of others that I interacted with such as AJ (who can put down a lot of caffeine lol) and Chris (who reminded me that Reign energy drinks are really good) and Noah and David and Jeffrey (who I received smiles from) and Edia and Hasan (who keep the cars and place looking great). Also Emir (who was great to converse with near the end of my buying process). Then there is Amalia (who I believe had a great pink colored setup in the back).

It is safe to say I have found my new Car family and am excited for my next visit for Service where I will get the opportunity to meet more lovely people. Now i just need to post on all my socials to get the word out there to others!

The service here is soso. They did somethings well but drop the ball on others. The customer service was average with personality being the high and execution being the low. I was left not being able to drive my car after the repair, because I was told my repairs were $900 more than I was quoted initially. The problem with this was, I was told the price adjustment two days prior to the repair completion. They had my vehicle in the shop for 6 weeks. I was driving their loaner during the time of repairs. Once the repairs were completed, they wanted their loaner returned, leaving me without a vehicle to drive until I can come up with the $900 adjustment. I think this could of finish well if they were more transparent about the cost sooner or offer better service at the end. I will not be returning to Lithia in the future.

We purchased a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica with the help of Jeffery Weber. He did an amazing job at answering any questions we had, dealt with my husband, his grandma, and our 4 kids and kept us as comfortable as possible! Greeting was amazing. Service report and information was great.
I was concerned the intake GM dealer didn't do oil change right and I think I was still right in that. But, I still have concerns that there is a leak, although minor, I feel like I'm going to need another inspection.

Update: concern addressed and also returned for front and rear differential fluid changes.

Called in so many times trying to schedule an oil pan replacement and oil change. Provided contact details, talked to 4-5 people and still never got scheduled. I have never felt like this about any Volkswagen dealership I've personally encountered until now. I understand getting busy and all that but to not take the time to return a customers call more than once just absurd.

I had the BEST experience working with team at Volkswagen of Des Moines! I was ready to part ways with my old vehicle and onto something bigger and better. I have to give a huge shoutout Christian and Emir. They helped me get exactly what I had been looking for which of course was a beautiful new Atlas!! The car buying process can be lengthy but these two made it a breeze! Getting me exactly what I wanted for the price I was looking for - can't beat that! I will for sure be returning when I am back in the market for a new car. For now I will enjoy my beautiful Atlas! I also have to say the room that is there for kids is wonderful. Even though my son didn't use it that much, I have never been in a dealership where they created a separate space for kids. Now if I ever have to bring him along when I get my car regularly serviced, he will have a space to play! Kudos, you have gained my business! Can't wait to work with you guys again in the future!
