I had the experience of getting to watch Tia work as well as be in front of her lens. When I say I was humbled, I mean it. She is truly incredible. She is an extremely talented photographer, but she is so much more than that. She has a gift for making posing seem effortless (it's not- it's an art and she has mastered it!) and most notably, she has a way of putting her subject completely at ease- truly remarkable. From professional elegant, leisurely cool, sexy and artsy, Tia does it all. I jumped on the opportunity to pose for the "40 over 40" campaign and experience the magic first hand.
We met at the TOPTIA studio. Tia and her make-up artist collaborator Nobue created a warm, safe and fun atmosphere from the beginning. They put me at ease, taught me how to pose and made sure that everything looked perfect, so that I was able to just relax and enjoy.
The final picture variety exceeded my expectations and it was really difficult to narrow the selection down to my favorites. I cannot wait to visit the `40 over 40` exhibition to see what magic Tia created with the rest of the women.
