I have had the absolute pleasure of experiencing multiple portrait sessions with Amy Edwards. Her skilled art form as a photographer, along with her extreme professionalism and ability to create fun atmospheres is like any other photography experience I have taken part in. During each photo session (which were all differently themed and carefully crafted by Amy to meet my desires) Amy made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera that she was able to perfectly capture candid moments that to this day bring a smile to my face when reminiscing and sharing photos with loved ones! I met Amy a few months ago when I reached out to her for photography lessons. I was so excited after my first conversation with Amy before our lessons. She really listened to what my needs and goals were before our lesson. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I have loved our photography lessons. Amy is so kind, personable, and creative. Her passion for the art of photography is contagious. We met up in new places which were fun to explore. She is always teaching and challenging me to try new shots, lines, angles, and light. I have started to see the world in a new lens not just only by using my camera in manual but when I’m out and about or even driving, I notice different shadows and I’m beginning to see the world in new ways. Amy is very understanding and truly cares for her students to help them with their photography goals. I would recommend Amy has a teacher, photographer and friend.

There are not enough stars to express my positive experience working with the fabulous Amy! From the very beginning, Amy was professional, person-centered, and extremely efficient and communicative. Amy did a three-hour shoot with me that included multiple professional and casual scenes. Prior to the shoot, Amy consulted with me via phone (it was helpful to not have to work out ideas over e-mail) on my goals for the shoot and my ideal shoot locations. I selected New Image over other bids because of Amy's professionalism, positive energy, and dedication to making the process as stress-free for me as possible. I had never worked with professional photographers before, but during the shoot Amy made sure I was comfortable and quickly got me up to speed on how to pose like an amateur model. In the end, all the shots turned out great and far exceeded my expectations. I recommend New Image Studio to anyone looking for a dynamic and professional photographer in the Triangle.

Amy is an amazing teacher who really cares about her students and their photography goals. At the end of her class you will feel incredibly confident with your camera and taking your own photos. She provides short homework assignments in between lessons which are helpful and fun!
