I had ridiculously high expectations of Justin because I’ve seen his work and everyone in Utah Valley knows he’s the best. I wanted a family portrait that felt like a piece of cool art I could hang up and I wanted it to convey who our family is and how we vibe. He completely delivered. A really stunning piece of art, and he captured a moment that shows the very heart of who we are together. The photos he took are priceless to me.

The thought of waiting one more moment to leave this review haunted me. Justin is the BEST photographer in the state of Utah. I love his versatility. I have had him do my personal headshots, group shots, my wedding, and work along side as a fellow wedding vendor (I'm a dj) He is great to work with. ALWAYS. He is personable, looks for the authentic you, cares about his work and you as an individual. This is not a J O B for Justin this is his life and passion.

Justin has been our go-to family photographer throughout the years. His eye is unmatched: he has a gift for seeing people and relationships clearly, and is able to capture the essence of a person perfectly through a lens. I love the clarity and freedom of his images: he isn't hampered by filters. We first hired him for our wedding in January 2013. I was a bit worried about the pictures, because it was snowing and everything was white. The photos of our family and each other were absolutely stunning, and we still treasure them. He stayed longer than he needed to at the reception, and got so many incredible candid shots of family that other photographers would have missed. He has done two other family portrait sessions since our wedding, and we have been blown away by every shot. Justin is a real artist. His pictures are sharp, honest, and full of humanity.

Just got back from getting long overdue pictures with the family. 11 people, storm blew in, thunder, lightning, downpour!
I cannot believe how good Justin was at getting everyone to cooperate, working with the weather, and generally giving us a fantastic memory.

Justin is an absolute gem. If he's available for your event and you don't book him, you're missing out big time. Justin (and Tia!) were both joys to work with throughout the entire process of our wedding. Justin responds quickly, is knowledgeable, professional and to top it all off how he captured the story of our wedding day was above and beyond what I could have possibly hoped for. Justin captured perfect details and as I think of them, the in-between moments - beautifully. What we received from Justin and his team is nothing short of art - he plays with light, different exposures, but also made sure to get the more traditional, formal shots of families and friends. I could go on and on about Justin, his work, and his team, but to wrap it up - book him if you can asap! Thank you for everything, Justin!

After my shoot with Justin, I asked him if I could leave a review. Justin did a great job building trust and confidence at the beginning of the shoot so that the time was used efficiently. He takes the time to get to know you, what you're looking for in and end product, and will go the extra mile to help your photos stand out. Our experience working with Justin Hackworth as our wedding photographer was better than I could have imagined. Justin is personable, fun to work with (and makes anyone feel at ease with a camera), and he knows what he's doing and does it well. We were thrilled with how our wedding photographs turned out. We had to opportunity to go to Justin Hackworth Photography Studio as a family to get some portraits taken. Our kids that attend college out of state were only going to be in town briefly. Justin accommodated our time restraints and got us in when we needed to.
Getting family pictures taken can be a little stressful. By the time we got to the studio, we were feeling a little on edge. Not only did Justin make everyone feel comfortable but our experience was actually FUN! We enjoyed our time and are always so impressed with the unique and artistic perspective of Justin’s photographs.
