They worked with URGENCY getting my child in ICU and trying to address the main concern.

Staff was nice and informative.

On day three communication started to fade, they had children that were air flighted to the hospital and took precedent over my child which isn't a bad thing, I would want all hands on deck if my child was air flighted in as well. It would have been also nice to be followed up before end of night on my child as well, as theyvalso important.

When I did voice my concern it was taken serious and they did make more effort to make sure I was in the loop. The asked if I wanted to be apart of all round ups regarding my child's care and asked if I had any questions. Love this!

When we got the green like that my child was doing better we switched rooms which the 10th floor is great.
My only concern with these rooms is they are not comfortable for adult stay for the parents like the ICU was.

Loved the free snacks and coffee for parents with longer stays and I loved the HEB also provides free meals for parents as well.

Overall, good experience.

I loved it here! I brought my newborn in due to a high fever and he was treated right away. The nurses here are amazing and the place is very well kept. I definitely recommend coming here if your baby is sick. My baby’s fever went down an hour after being in the room they assigned him. After his fever went down the nurses ran test to make sure everything was okay. They treated my baby as their own and were able to everything in a timely manner. Since my baby is a newborn they kept us here all night but it was worth it since it is important to me that my baby has all the attention that he needs. Thanks Memorial Herman !

Contacting the medical boards, hospital boards, Joint Commissions (if applicable), and more. This place has kept my daughter each day as if this is a childcare center to keep adding her as a lower priority on the MRI list. We’re now on day 4 of being held hostage and medically discriminated against. Basically, they want to address finances each time they can potentially solidify an MRI. Otherwise, all of a sudden, we’re waiting another day or they simply are negligent and malpracticing. They’ve even went as far as to falsifying information by denying the medical emergency my kid is having. We’re technically wanting to be addressed with ethics, compassion, and moral integrity. I want my child treated as a human. We then need to be made aware of an intervention plan, so that we can discharge and work on many other life responsibilities. Hence, I have work and other commitments rather than sitting idle in a hospital room all day and playing musical chairs with the Business Office and MRI list.

My grandson was Admitted on 12/31/24 for an accident that happened right before New Year's staff.
Upstairs are wonderful on the 8th floor. But today on January 10th 2025 I was coming down at approximately 2:20 am 2:25 am walking down the hallway to the emergency room where I was getting picked up by my husband and slipped on a puddle of water and fell on my left side if housekeeping would keep up with Cleaning the floors this would not have happened. My husband was waiting and unpatient. I was not able to do anything about it other than some guards that were going behind me. Let emergency people know that there was a puddle of water. They never asked if I was okay or anything.

On February 1st 2024, I gave birth to my son.
I started to hemorrhage shortly after having my son and the epidural at that point had worn off. I was in excruciating pain. Nurses flooded into the room to get the bleeding under control. My doctor Daniel Mundy heard me screaming in agony as the nurses held me down in order to administer different injections (I don’t remember what they were exactly) to help with pain or whatever. 3-4 shots in a very short period of time. My doctor eventually comes in the room and said to me very annoyed “what’s the problem?” As if I wasn’t experiencing one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Come to find out later, my fiancé told me some of the nurses in the back of the room were actually laughing at how much pain I was in.
I was in so out of it I didn’t even have it in me to snap back at the rudeness/report the nurses who laughed at me for one of the most traumatic things that has ever happened to me. Plenty of the other nurses were wonderful and so kind and helpful, but I wish I had reported the nurses who were making fun of a life threatening situation back when it first happened. It was truly appalling and individuals like that should not be in healthcare whatsoever. Do better.

Had to stay overnight for my son's EEG testing. The nurses were great in helping him feel comfortable. Tons of toys and movies to keep him entertained. The hospital food was actually pretty good. They even sent up snacks for nourishment. Parking was 15.00 for overnight + 1 hour on the weekend. Walking around this hospital is overwhelming if you dont know where you're going. It's huge! Once I found everything it wasn't so bad. Definitely call ahead if you need to get somewhere specific, its easy to get lost.

Our first daughter was born here yesterday. Throughout this process we’ve interacted with at least 20 different staff members (front desk, nurses, doctors) on day and night shift and they’ve all been exceptional. Very professional and excellent bedside manner. Top notch hospital!

I would like to complain about my child’s stay in this hospital. He was admitted back in over 2 weeks ago after we brought him home from the NICU. I have no complaints with the NICU. I want to complain about his stay in the pediatrics. Floor 10. Wow where do I begin. I wanna start with him needing an NG tube right away. They gave him literally a day of trying to bottle feed him and placed it without asking me! I was absolutely pissed they called me AFTER they placed it. I’m pretty sure they should have needed my consent to place that. Then i bring my baby breast milk fresh for him to get. I come in a couple days later to bags of my milk expired and wasted because they just didn’t use it. They were giving my baby formula. Again didn’t ask me ! I’m a mom of twin boys and we have just other twin at home and my husband works, I can’t go up to the hospital to see my other son that often. So I already feel like I’m out of the loop with my sons care. The fact that they didn’t use my milk is extremely infuriating. I do not want my baby on formula at all. I am making more than enough milk for my twins to eat. Then I confronted them about it and they were apologetic. But they definitely saw my milk in the fridge IN his room. They just gave him formula because it was easy and I wasn’t there. Something needs to be done about that. And my last complaint is the at home NG tube he is getting. He got his NG tube on Thursday they couldn’t put the order in until I was able to get insurance . And my insurance came into effect on Friday. So I was sure to call to tell Friday to tell them to place the order. They said ok I will put it in and tell the team. I even called for an update multiple times and came in. They didn’t think to tell me that the order wasn’t even placed until I called to ask this morning ! Today we were going up there to learn how to use the tube at home with him. My husband took off work today to be with me and bring him home. But the fact that the order hadn’t even been placed! Is absolutely ridiculous!! Like what are they even doing if their not taking care of my son !! I am a pissed mom
